Meet Louisiana Attorney Camille Saltz Babin
When you come to The Law Office of Camille Saltz Babin, you will work directly with me to resolve your legal concerns. I am passionate about helping families in Louisiana and take pride in offering high-quality legal representation focused on individual client needs and productive outcomes. Backed by over 15 years of practice experience, I provide honest and compassionate legal advice to help guide you through the important times of your life.
After receiving my J.D., magna cum laude, in 1996 from Southern University, I clerked for two years for Judge Marc Amy of the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal. I worked for a Lafayette firm and then a Houma firm focusing on family law before opening my own practice in 2004.
As a Qualified Family Law Mediator and member of the Collaborative Professional Group of Southwest Louisiana, I believe in helping my clients use alternative dispute resolution techniques to resolve legal issues such as divorce in a cooperative way whenever possible. Courtroom litigation can be financially and emotionally draining, while methods like negotiation, mediation and collaborative law empower parties to come to an agreement tailored to meet their specific needs, rather than being subjected to decisions by a third party judge. However, when litigation is necessary to protect your best interests, I have the experience, knowledge and skill it takes to advocate for you effectively and zealously in court.
In addition to my law practice, my dedication to helping families is evident in my volunteer work. I am the current President of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Terrebonne, an organization of volunteers appointed by the court in child protection cases. I work hard to protect the best interests of children in every case I take. In addition, I am actively involved in the local community as a member of civic service and church-affiliated organizations providing a range of family- and child-related services.
